Cybersecurity V&V Engineer (SecOC, MacSec & Key Management)

 We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong expertise in Cybersecurity Verification & Validation (V&V), specifically in Secure Onboard Communication (SecOC), MACsec, and Key Management Systems. The role involves analyzing and debugging supplier solutions, reviewing test reports, and providing expert evaluations on their correctness and relevance to project requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • * Perform debugging and validation of SecOC, MacSec, and Key Management implementations.
  • * Review and analyze suppliers’ test reports, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements and standards.
  • * Provide expert statements and recommendations regarding the correctness, completeness, and relevance of suppliers’ verification results.
  • * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system architects, security experts, suppliers) to resolve issues and close gaps.
  • * Support test strategy definition and V&V activities for cybersecurity features across the system lifecycle.
  • * Ensure alignment with automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155) and project-specific guidelines.

Must Have

  • * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • * Proven experience (3–5+ years) in Cybersecurity V&V within the automotive or embedded systems domain.
  • * Deep knowledge of SecOC, MacSec, and Key Management Systems (protocols, cryptographic mechanisms, validation).
  • * Strong background in embedded systems debugging, testing methodologies, and security validation tools.
  • * Familiarity with AUTOSAR and automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP).
  • * Good understanding of security standards (ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 62443) and regulatory requirements.
  • * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert-level assessments.
  • * Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • * Experience with security toolchains for penetration testing, fuzzing, or crypto validation.
  • * Prior involvement in supplier management or evaluation.
  • * Knowledge of vehicle E/E architectures and secure communication in automotive systems.
