R&D Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Manager to lead our R&D engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day engineering operations, driving the development and testing of E-Powertrain products, tracking progress against project timelines, and ensuring the technical growth and alignment of the engineering team with company goals.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D engineering team across multiple projects.
  • Define, track, and report R&D product development milestones and timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, testing, manufacturing, and procurement teams.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of E-Powertrain subsystems including: (Battery Management Systems (BMS),On-Board Chargers (OBC) ,DC-DC Converters , Inverters / Motor Controllers )      
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays.
  • Evaluate and maintain engineering team skills, performance, and development plans.
  • Drive adherence to engineering best practices, design standards, and documentation. 
  • Support the validation and testing of R&D prototypes and production-ready systems. 
  • Stay updated on technology trends in EV and E-Powertrain sectors to ensure innovation.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.
  • 7-10 years of experience in engineering development, preferably in the automotive or E-Mobility sector.
  • Solid technical background and hands-on experience in E-Powertrain systems (BMS, OBC, DC-DC, Inverters).
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams and R&D project timelines.
  • Strong understanding of product development cycles, from concept to production.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools, project tracking systems, and reporting.

Nice to have

  • Ph.D. in Electrical, Power Electronics, or Automotive Engineering is a strong plus.
  • Experience with compliance and functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE).
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and software integration in EV components.
