Job Summary
EVRaid is seeking a Senior Automotive Cybersecurity System Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of cybersecurity solutions across various vehicle systems. This role is critical in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of key vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) and communication networks.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in automotive cybersecurity standards, threat modeling, secure architecture design, and risk mitigation, as well as experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end cybersecurity architectures for vehicle systems, protecting against potential cyber threats and ensuring resilience across multiple ECU domains
- Conduct comprehensive Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) using tools like Medini Analyze to identify and address vulnerabilities in vehicle features and componentsÂ
- Define and develop vehicle-level and component-level cybersecurity requirements based on TARA findings and system architecturesÂ
- Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity regulations and standards, including ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 R155/R156Â
- Plan and execute cybersecurity verification and validation activities, such as penetration testing, secure code reviews, and vulnerability assessmentsÂ
- Develop and implement secure communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) and cryptographic measures to ensure secure in-vehicle and external data exchangeÂ
- Collaborate closely with engineering, system architects, software developers, and suppliers to integrate cybersecurity into the full development lifecycleÂ
- Evaluate CIA (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) considerations and review cybersecurity work products like security plans and TARA reportsÂ
- Participate in incident response planning, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for security vulnerabilities or breachesÂ

Stay informed on emerging
threats, tools, and technologies in the automotive cybersecurity domain and
propose proactive improvements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity, with hands-on involvement in securing ECUs, networks, or embedded systemsÂ
- In-depth understanding of ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, and functional safety (ISO 26262)
- Proven experience with Medini Analyze or similar TARA toolsÂ
- Solid knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, secure boot, secure diagnostics, key management, and authentication mechanismsÂ
- Proficiency in automotive protocols and standards such as AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, and UDSÂ
- Experience with penetration testing, secure coding, vulnerability scanning, and threat detection methodologiesÂ
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailÂ

communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and
non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with over-the-air (OTA) updates, embedded system security, or intrusion detection systems (IDS)
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CACSP, or ISO 21434 Practitioner
- Familiarity with machine learning applications in cybersecurity or anomaly detectionÂ
